A postgraduate diploma takes commitment and there will be late nights in front of the computer but it's worth it!
Tell us a bit about your experience before the Digital Marketing Institute
I joined the Digital Marketing Institute as a mature student and I now run the Wicklow County Tourism Board. The tourism advertising industry has rapidly evolved in the last 15 years. From Paper ads and trade shows, most promotional activities now take place online through social media and websites. Most of my work has been to adapt our promotions for online and target potential customers through digital activities.
What influenced your decision to study in the digital field?
Alot of our digital activities lacked clarity and weren't delivering the results we needed. Being able to define clear targets to maximize the ROI of our digital marketing efforts was my main objective for returning to study.
Why did you choose to study your course with the Digital Marketing Institute?
As I have a full time job and three children: free time is in short supply. The flexibility of the online postgraduate course, and the price, made the Digital Marketing Institute my first choice.
I did some research through friends and contacts in various industries prior to enrolling and everyone recommended the Digital Marketing Institute for a professional certification in digital marketing.
Since completing the course in the Digital Marketing Institute, how has your Career progressed?
I still run the Wicklow Tourism Board, and have started to further develop and implement our digital marketing strategy based on what I learned from the Digital Marketing Institute.
Is there any advice you would give to new students at the Digital Marketing Institute?
A postgraduate diploma takes commitment and there will be late nights in front of the computer but it's worth it!
In one word, how would you describe your time in the Digital Marketing Institute?
